Hafod in Pembrokeshire: a new use for old stables
"Hafod" means Summer Homestead. The owners decided
to convert the outbuildings of an ancient Pembrokeshire farmhouse into
a holiday home. The simple, vernacular construction had become very derelict
and while we were able to save the main front range of buildings, the
rear lean-tos were beyond redemption. This presented the opportunity to
create something a little different on that side.
Inside, the living room is on split levels, with stunning views through
the glazed roof of Garn Fawr on the Pembrokeshire coast.
Treseissyllt Hafod is a stone's throw from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path
and is available to let for holidays.
