The Shell House, Cilwendeg, Pembrokeshire

Following careful archaeological investigation, The Temple Trust commissioned repairs to this delightful little Georgian folly. It has now been fully restored in its romantic woodland setting and the shellwork re-created.
Blott Kerr-Wilson was the shell-worker, assisted by the client, Suzannah Fleming who also researched and applied the lithic paint that adds sparkle to timber and other surfaces. Ken Filkins was the contractor for repairs to the fabric.

Cadw, the HLF and a number of other bodies grant-aided the work.

The Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales gave a Rural Wales Award and the Georgian Group gave an award for the Restoration of a Georgian Garden Building.
